NEYAL News

The administration of NEYAL transferred from Newcastle University to Sheffield Hallam University on 1st August 2018. The post of NEYAL Administrator is in the process of being recruited and more information will be provided when available. If you have any queries in the meantime, please contact the Chairs of the Books or Journals Groups, whose details are in the main Contact page.

With the aim of increasing engagement with members, NEYAL have invited members to observe review meetings. To date we have had representatives from Derby, Huddersfield, Hull, Lancaster, Leeds, Leeds Beckett, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sheffield Hallam and Teesside who have given very positive feedback on this experience.

NEYAL hosted a Supplier Event for suppliers on the new framework agreement on Wednesday 18th April at Cloth Hall Court in Leeds. Suppliers presented to NEYAL members on developments related to the new sub-lots (relating to e-books and e-textbooks). The presentations are now available on Google Drive.

The Annual Members’ Meeting took place on Wednesday 18th July at Cloth Hall Court in Leeds. The Journals Group organised this year’s meeting and the speaker was Liam Earney from Jisc, who discussed the role and structure of Jisc, and its future plans.

If you would like an item added to this section, or are unsure how to access the Google Drive account, please contact the NEYAL Administrator.
